Mosaic Law and Now Messiah’s Law

So many people say they read their Bible (be it Hebrew only or Hebrew plus the Greek text) and they might think the Law given to Moses by the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is intended to remain in full application today. But after Moses, something happened to modify that application—a new look by way of a new covenant and the vital Promise offered by Messiah Himself! This is not to say the Mosaic Law is to be regarded without respect—we learn much from a reading of the books of Moses. But when the Jewish Messiah appeared, He stated something that makes for a shift and an emphasis direct from Adonai through the words of Messiah!

If you are a Jewish person, you might want to hear about how the Gentiles today need to approach the Bible’s teachings on the Law. This also puts a new light on an updated Jewish approach. But this also takes respecting the Messiah Yeshua and if you are not certain who the Messiah really is the please visit this Harmony page at WindowView! The links below lead to YouTube videos of an excellent Jewish (Messianic) teacher who addresses the content of the book of Galatians.

If you are a Gentile and a churchgoer, maybe you need to hear Mottel Baleston’s teaching on Galatians because this will inform you how you are to regard the Mosaic Law and what Messiah says about Gentiles not being under the Law. Most importantly, what are we ALL (Jew and Gentile together) to do with respect to what Yeshua has stated and is recorded in the Greek books (The New Covenant).

The six sessions with detailed teachings (each session is in two parts) are all captured on YouTube videos and the links are listed below.

Also, links to a couple books that are helpful in addressing the Law (then and now) are presented below.

A shorter but very helpful book is written by Michael J. Vlach. This book examines a specific text from the New Covenant and addresses The New Covenant Lawgiver!

Another longer and bit broader look at Scripture is written by John B. Metzger, entitled THE LAW Then And Now: What About Grace?

We are apparently entering a final era of time in human history when taking a look at a vital choice we all have (an exceptional opportunity) to make is available only while alive! WINDOW on CHANGE and the FUTURE

To be objective means to look at information, current events, and come to conclusions that avoid false assumptions, bias, or misguided opinions. WindowView.org has a goal of pulling multiple perspectives into view—mainly based on Science and Scripture.

If you take a look, can you see the direction humanity is headed today?

Here are a few thoughts on change in the world today—and ask yourself what the future holds.

First, in 2022, a world leader insulted a neighboring nation by invasion, killing citizens, and destroying jobs, homes, schools, and economy. This one person’s decision is padded with lies and a false motive for personal gain and historical reptation. A world leader who lies violates God’s will, as seen by reading the entirety of Proverbs 6 (but especially verses 12 to 19, where lying is specified as one of seven issues the Lord hates!). And these verses tell us what ultimately will become of a leader who lies, deceives, and resists truth, harmony, and humility. And note that the Bible speaks to is there will one day be “wars and rumors of war,” and now we see that is TODAY. One is at war, others are threatening war.

Second, concerning climate change, links to several newer sources have been added to the Window’s Change section. While we recognize climate change denial occurs, typically this is due to political, philosophic, economic, or simply a lack of objectivity. But the data, studies, and ongoing observations all reveal change is real. We also recognize that multiple change factors are going to continually stress humanity and reveal how nations and cultures prevent the possible long-term survival of humanity.  Survival on Earth is in jeopardy! The United Nations is a place to see how un-united humanity really is! Click on the image below and take a look at the reports linked at this WindowView page. And you can click on the image below to read the WindowView Thesis on Change!

Third, regarding change and a biblical view, we have recommended a specific book regarding the timeline and events that lead to the end of this age. Students who read all the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures are able to assemble all the pieces (past events and future events in passages of prophecy). In fact, a man named Daniel wrote a text some five hundred years before the Jewish Messiah arrived. In that text was a timeline date indicating exactly when the Messiah would appear a first time. But beyond that, Daniel describes events yet to come. Then some six hundred years later a man named John wrote another text that surprisingly compliments Daniel’s writings. The two texts are like puzzle pieces that are needed to complete the overall big picture. These two writings illustrate a Harmony that if you take time to look and explore then your eyes and heart will be opened like never before.

And the real question is: “What will you decide about your life and the future?”

Is there more to life than living today?

The short answer is: “Yes (and there is a promise in Scripture that affirms there is more to this life)!”

Explore the Window Harmony and seek the Promise!

In recent time updates are starting to appear in various places across the WindowView web site. This will continue into the near future because so much new information needs to be added and older out-of-date material needs to be dropped or entirely modified. Incredibly, the original intent of WindowView only gets more and more validated by new developments in the realms of science and scripture.

Day of Atonement – Identifying Messiah in Yom Kippur

Each year the calendar presents us with the Jewish Biblical High Holy Days. What many Gentiles do not observe is a day of atonement called Yom Kippur. But even more interesting is that many persons in the Jewish community who do place high importance on Yom Kippur, they miss knowing the true identity of the Jewish Messiah. And for Gentiles who think they know who the Messiah is … they too might find interesting the audio presentation that is linked to this blog post!

Here is the link to the web page with the audio to listed to regarding the identity of the Messiah in relation to a High Holy Day! (opens in new browser tab)

Yom Teruah – Rosh Hashanah – Surprise

Recommendation: Visit the YouTube video regarding one particular High Holy Day on the Jewish calendar. There is a surprise that everyone–Jewish and Gentile persons both–should hear about. And you can visit that video at this LINK.

To be clear, Yom Teruah is documented to be “the day” designated for a specific purpose. Each year this day starts a period of ten days for reflection and personal repentance and that leads up to another holy day. But when a specific and unique purpose is fulfilled is further described in the video. Reference to Messiah may be easy or hard to accept for some viewers, but the Hebrew Scriptures help to specifically identify who that identity is! In fact, deeper study of the Tanach (the Hebrew Bible) reveals passages in Genesis, Daniel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Zechariah, and many other places in the text that contribute to full identity revealed! One passage often mentioned is in Isaiah stating with the words “Behold my servant … .” (Tanach Isiah 52;13). Then read through all of the rest of chapter 52 to the end of 53. Each year in the reading of the Torah, these verses are typically skipped over … it is time for a complete reading … today!

Many will celebrate Rosh Hashanah without realizing the origin of that celebration … the video provides the surprise and explains the true origin of this celebration day! And to be sure, apples and honey make for a sweet celebration! So, two unique purposes are celebrated on one High Holy Day, but the reality as to why Yom Teruah was set in place in Scripture is given a nice and extremely important explanation in the video.

There Is A New World Coming

Years ago Hal Lindsey wrote a book about a new world coming. The question we might ask today is: “How will we recognize the signs of that world coming to us?”

Look out your window! What do you see in the world today?

As this post is being typed up, divisions, splits, adversarial relationships are evident all around the globe. World leaders contribute to conflict and the idea of global cooperation is a distant and lost concept.

The photo of the cover of the Lindsay book is is from the original edition published in 1973. While the basic study in the text of this book is a biblical look at Revelation, the text touches on a timeline of events looking forward. But the text also looks back to the writings of Daniel. And the text written by John (who penned the text of the ‘apocalypsis,’ i.e., revelation and revealing of Messiah and what brings in the new age, new era, and new world) touches on images, themes, timing, and points made by Daniel in what his text states going back some 500 to 600 years before John was born. As noted online, “Daniel was a righteous man of princely lineage and lived about 620–538 B.C.”

A Divided House Cannot Stand

Today’s polarization and division between countries, political division within countries, and a lack of collaboration and caring … reveals a world in a crumbling state. Indeed, in the past there were periods of decline, but never with as many people that live on planet Earth today!

The book highlighted here is a bit dated in some of its presentation. Yet, some very interesting observations are included in the text! Maybe you can find a copy of the original book, but one important fact is that back in the 1970s Mr. Lindsey wrote about two witnesses who would appear in Jerusalem (Revelation chapter 11). These remarkable individuals would be a sign of a specific event that takes place before the new world arrives. In the 70s the idea that the entire global community–all of us–would be able to see these two witnesses in Jerusalem led to the idea that a TV satellite would make it possible (i.e., Telstar). Fast forward to today and the smartphones and internet streaming services make it even more possible. Once everything is in place to make all the prophetic events work like clockwork, the the teachings, events, and chronology revealed by John and Daniel will come together and take place … a house divided will crumble and the world will need unified leadership. For a time a false leader, the anti-Messiah, will step onto the world stage. A crumbled and fragmented humanity will look up to false leadership. Even today false leaders get unwarranted attention! But the story does not end with that false presence and study of Scripture will prepare you to fully understand the passing of this world and the coming of the next!

A Remarkable Network of Information

One added point that warrants you making a detailed study of the writings of Daniel and John. Simply put, the text of each source requires the other to complete a bigger picture of what is to come. This is like pulling together pieces of a puzzle from two authors and the incredible unity, logic, and good sense the puzzle image makes once assembled! Daniel even gives a means to calculate the year Messiah first appears. John describes churches in cities in a way that outlines historical eras from the time of Messiah’s first appearance to today! The study you might make offers an opportunity to see a remarkable network of information that arises all across he biblical text. That network is evidence that the entire text of Scripture is not simply separate and unrelated writings. Just the opposite, the entire text looks forward (and beyond) the new world that is coming.

A more current book that accomplishes what Lindsay wrote and even goes deeper into the relevant information is Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum’s book: “The Footsteps of the Messiah.” (<– first link is to a bookseller with reviews, but may be a bit more expensive, a ministry website with same book at alternate price … use this LINK)

The Jewish Messiah Has A Name

Messiah is a very specific biblical term. If you read the Hebrew Scriptures, there are many places in the Tanach that point to the Messiah. The identification has been long lost on Israel, but as many of you may know, the identity will become way more apparent to the Jewish people when the time is correct–as it is stated, the ‘veil will be lifted’ and Israel will know, accept, or reject, and then other events will soon follow. Those events are written about in the books of Daniel and what John wrote in the writings that appear in the last book of the Greek text, the Brit Chadeshah (New Covenant)

There is an author, Dr. Fruchtenbaum, who has written a fabulous book about the Footsteps of the Messiah. That volume explains the history, process that prophesy takes humanity through, and focuses on the Jewish Messiah. While WindowView also deals with Science and Change, the Harmony area supports many pages that relate to the Messiah himself.

The book listed here may be a great eye opener for those Jewish and even Gentile persons who have not made the connections between what Messiah in the past accomplished and what Scripture and world events today portend for the future, perhaps very near future.

Messiah has a name that means ‘salvation,’ and that is ‘Yeshua.’ Rabbis have denied this for centuries, but this distraction is nothing but that veil over the eyes of Israel. the Bible’s entire focus centers on events in Israel. Many Gentile preachers think the ‘church’ replaces Israel, but that is a misnomer that can be corrected by reading sources that include the intricate interweaving of the biblical data in the Hebrew and Greek texts.

See below links for the purchase or download of this book:

You can order a hardcopy of this book at Amazon with this link.

But some time ago permission was granted to allow free distribution as an electronic file and the link for that edition of this book is HERE (click to download the PDF document, just click on the book cover on the web page at WindowView).

Jewish persons who have explored the Tanach and have read passages such as in Isaiah 53, Proverbs 30: 4, the timeline that states when Messiah would come as presented in the book of Daniel, and elsewhere in Isaiah, Psalms, Malachi, Zechariah, and even a reference in Genesis, plus many other locations … all point to Yeshua.

Just thought ou might be interested …

Isaiah 53 As A New Song

In a previous post you were able to connect to a WindowView.org web page that provides access to understanding the importance of the verses in Isaiah 53. The prophet is essentially letting all Israel know who the Messiah is … His identity is unmistakable and the prophet’s words were written hundreds of years before Yeshua appeared to Israel. As then and as is now, these words are a key that unlocks so much of what else Scripture. has to tell us.

Today we received an email from Joshua Aaron that included a link to his friend’s new song … the song is based on Isaiah 53, sung by Aaron Shust and accompanied by Shai Sol.

The Prophet Identifies Messiah

Every year Israel celebrates Passover. Each year during the Pesach seder there is a moment when the matzah is broken and the Cup of Redemption is lifted to drink wine. This breaking of bread and drinking of the cup was a new adjustment to the Pesach tradition and seems to correspond with who the Jewish Messiah is. So, who is that?

Of whom does the prophet Isaiah speak?

To read about the prophet Isaiah’s exact words that align closely with the true identity of the Jewish Messiah, we recommend a visit to windowview.org/wanted/j.html. See the web page and read the WANTED poster and get the REWARD!

In a world of increasing chaos and confusion, peace is to be found in Messiah–for Jew and Gentile alike, this one identity rises in importance above all else.

Global Conditions to Messiah’s Return

WHEN WILL MESSIAH COME?

In “Fiddler on the Roof” Tevye takes a moment to look to the heavens and asks G_d, “Wouldn’t this be a good time for Messiah to come?!”

We look around the world, with Bibles in hand and say … things are looking bleak and conditions just have that feeling of “we are heading to the end of the age” … in other words, the time the Bible speaks of when Messiah comes!

HOW DOES THE WORLD SEE IT?

In the June 15 issue of Science magazine, Dr. Carlos Nobre, a climate scientist from Brazil, comments on an upcoming conference on global conditions. He compares the Rio de Janeiro 2012 UN Summit meeting to the 1992 UN Conference on Environment and Development also held in Rio de Janeiro. While the climate and global issues are similar, then and now, there are three key differences Dr. Nobre highlights in his editorial.

First: the obvious degree of interconnectedness among nations, which he notes “would have been unimaginable in 1992.”

“Today’s global society is linked culturally, socially , and economically. Highly interconnected systems can confer remarkable stability, but they are prone to abrupt change, as shown by the global financial crisis and recent food security issues.”

Second: the concept of the “Anthropocene” describes an era we now live in where human behavior is recognized as a key driver for change. This influence may have surpassed what our planet is able to bear, including significant loss of biodiversity .

Third: In the past 20 years is geopolitical change where emerging economies play a larger role than before. Examples here include the rapid growth and productivity in Brazil, China, and India.

WHAT KEY INGREDIENTS DO WE NEED for MESSIAH TO RETURN?

While all three points made by Dr. Nobre are all so very true, there is one more ingredient that has come in recent time. So, into the window we add a fourth factor!

Fourth: Global communications and the linkage of commerce make Messiah’s coming much more possible now, than ever before.

The fact that the entire world will be able to SEE events in Jerusalem is not only part of the prophesy that describes events wrapping up the age, but now this is possible in a big way through hand held devices including video and audio that streams wirelessly around the globe.

A study concerning the “two witnesses” described in the last book of the Messianic Writings (a.k.a. Revelation) provide the vital example of what the entire world will see … everyone will see these two and what happens to them. Everyone will know, see, understand with the help of streaming technologies. Twenty years ago, no one could have imagined what we have today.

Linkage in commerce also makes for a computerized system that ultimately opens the way to total control of sales and purchases of all goods.

The Bible’s description of a “mark of the beast” without which one could not buy or sell anything speaks to a global control … entirely possible via the Internet. In fact, hand held devices are quickly becoming electronic credit cards. The UPC symbol and scanner codes we see all around us become like a mark that is necessary for buying anything.

SO WHEN?

Our point is that we have arrived at a global state where the interconnectedness, like Dr. Nobre’s first point above, has advanced so swiftly that Messiah’s return can clearly be described as imminent, soon, at any moment now … the globe is wired wirelessly and ready.

Are you seeing what we see here? Are you ready?

For those who look at the big picture, all the perspectives in the Window’s View give a clue on what is coming our way.
