Fullness of the Gentiles

A Plain Language Thought from the Window

At some point, time runs out, God pulls the plug, the end game begins and it's off to a new day, a new earth, a new age ... but when?

Here is another interesting mystery ... something happens to Gentiles, at a point in the near future, and then something happens to Israel. This is conditional and has a certain order to it! Israel begins to really see something that has been 'hidden' right in front of them. How does this work?

Well, He tells us when ... but can we tell when that is?

This page continues on the heels of what we have written about the olive tree. The same passage in the Book of Romans is used in both cases, but here we will emphasize a subtle but most interesting point about timing (which comes at the end of the passage quoted below).

Salvation is something God wants everyone to have (a shot at obtaining). If life is the offer, receiving salvation is the response. If our having life now is an opportunity to 'get it,' then now is a time to decide on having life eternal. You have to be alive to make this decision. Gentiles are in 'the swing of this' now. Israel picks up on this in a big way in a time to come. Again, we ask, when?

How many of the Gentiles will there need to be, who find salvation, to have enough people to 'get this offer' for the timing referred to above? It's called the "fullness of the Gentiles," and it could be very soon. How might we know this?

So Where Are We Today

First, the Earth today is host to billions. The population has never been so large. In fact, the carrying capacity of the earth is challenged by the growing numbers of humans who inhabit the planet. This is one reason tracking global change becomes an important sign to follow. Like we say in the Change Area within the WindowView, it's how we respond to change as a species that matters most.

Okay, so the planet is full of people. Many have heard the salvation message and many have accepted. Many are still to consider this message. Gentiles who accept salvation are grafted into the olive tree which is illustrated in the larger part of the following Scripture passage. But then, on this web page, we add the following verses that essentially say that when enough of the Gentile peoples have heard the message, then Israel has her eyes opened ... wide. Jewish people like never before will see the truth and identity of their Messiah. And that evidence opens the door to Israel's full salvation.

Romans 11: 13-26

13 For I speak to you Gentiles; inasmuch as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry,
14 if by any means I may provoke to jealousy those who are my flesh and save some of them. 15 For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?
16 For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches. 17 And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, 18 do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you. 19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.”
20 Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either. 22 Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off. 23 And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. 24 For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, who are natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree? 25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: “The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;

Consider This!

Some 60 years ago the nation of Israel was formally reestablished in the world of nations. This is nothing short of a fulfillment of prophecy and opens the door to fulfilling other prophecies awaiting their turn. Israel as a young nation took territories that include places referred to in Scripture that must be part of a recognized country identified as Israel.

At about the same time, since World War II, the Dead Sea Scrolls were located and two complete scrolls, one of Isaiah and the other of Daniel were recovered. These texts helped to further validate the authenticity of the standing biblical text. More importantly, these two books work hand in hand with the prophecies found in the New Covenant.

Footsteps of the Messiah

Activity today in the Nations create a struggle and conditions that further provide a critical focus on this little country. Why such commotion about such a small nation? Why the tension and even hatred expressed by some concerning Israel? Because it's God that is the real focal point of all.

The fullness of the Gentiles is all about developments reaching a point in time and then God executing a next step. That next step includes Israel. For centuries the Scripture cited above could not even take effect until there was once again an Israel. But today she is there ... on the map ... in the middle of all nations.

When Israel begins to really see who Messiah is ... that takes us further down the time line and to other events that are written about and described in the Bible. And it's all about a decision we make concerning salvation.
