Change Matrix

Multiple Dimensions to Change

There are two immediate ways to demonstrate the more complex matrix of issues to global change.

We provide a separate page with some illustrations that begin to define the immense complexity to global change.

The MATRIX is not restricted climate change alone. To describe the human-centric emphasis placed at the center of a human and scientific assessment, we also provide links to access the entire set of the Millennium Assessment reports.

ILLUSTRATIONS Revealing the MATRIX

First: Take a look at a series of graphics and charts that get us to think about the complex matrix of relationships that are associated with global changes. What changes in one respect influences other parts of the ecosystem and life support systems for humans and all other species on the planet Earth!

Second: The illustrations highlighted here are part of the larger set of documents referred to below for your access by downloading PDF files for the assessments and topical chapters that further reveal the complex matrix of change.

Also, note that all this follows the earlier warning from the scientific community: see Scientists Warning.

Maybe you've noticed how a material focus as well as a biblical line of thinking are intertwined within the WindowView:

Look at the global change assessments and then consider how a biblical story line works into the midst of this matrix of concerns.

To accomplish this you will need to move form the Change Area here to the Harmony Area. Ask: Will we save ourselves? Does salvation come from human activity?

Furthermore, another valuable perspective, stewardship for the sustainable life is a mandate, but our existence comes with additional considerations beyond life in the present. This thought also leads us to consider events from present to future as illustrated on the WindowView TimeLine Area.

Take a look at some of the illustrations for how global change describes a complex matrix of concerns now. Add to that the perspective of biblical time and it may dawn on you that our lives are leading to something unusual, beyond just the ordinary day-to-day experience!

CHANGE reveals that life hangs in the balance of all the Window's perspectives!

Download Millennium Assessment Documents

The following document this is getting older by the year, but the historical significance of the draft assessment should not be understated. The download page to follow provides links to all final report chapters.

Draft Millennium Ecosystem Assessment

The linked PDF document is the final draft released in 2005. The file is only 6 MBytes in size and comes with over 200 pages including color graphics on many pages to illustrate the matrix of change relationships we are talking about.
