Recreational Pilot Flashcards

Orientation

The introductory video and information below gives an orientation to the flashcards developed to help recreational drone (and UA) pilots.

This is the video formerly posted on YouTube and serves as both introduction and a tutorial regarding use of the flashcards.

Recreational Pilot Flashcards

The basic idea is to encourage awareness of what the FAA requires and added information on topics like: Use of various apps, creating a pre-flight checklist, using a flight log, example flight log entry form, monitoring battery use, access to a free program to stitch (join together) photos to make a full panoramic photo, use of Google Earth, night flight, flying over people regulations, and other helpful suggestions. The content may even help you to prepare to answer authorities who may show up and question you during or after flying your unmanned aircraft or drone. The bottom line is simple, the flashcards are being shared as a help and promote having a great experience with your drone, photos, and videos.

The format of the cards helps to list important information, highlight key words, and provide links to associated web pages.
