Are We a Nation in Crisis?

Do you or don’t you read scripture—but do read a about a nation in crisis! What Jeremiah wrote long ago about Judah may actually have an application today! He wrote about kings and people worshiping idols. Might that be happening today? Might people be missing something incredibly important about what is reality and truth! Are you worshipping a political idol today? Maybe someone self-centered and wants power for himself. Look at what Ray Stedman wrote in his book ‘A Nation in Crisis.’ This is a look at Jeremiah but also speaks to what we see today! Idol worship brings serious consequences! MAGA Evangelicals Beware

Political campaigns in the United States of America often are founded on principles that comply with the nation’s constitution. But when biblical principles are drawn into the realm of political considerations, then those persons who claim to be evangelical (Christian or Bible believing) should be reading the words of the Messiah and adhering to what the four gospels reflect. If an evangelical is not reading the Bible then they are NOT evangelical and possibly not moral, not just, and not godly.

Be Aware of What is True Evangelicals

Here is what a recent email from a Messianic organization included about Righteousness and Justice … which by the way the main MAGA candidate is not adhering to! That person speaks in anger and vengefulness and causes one to ask why support such a self centered and self righteous and non-biblical person? Also he is not abiding in the Constitution! And what if that person never repents of sin, disregards the government, and defames and demotes other persons?

MAGA seems unrighteous, injustice, and simply power centric AND here is what a religious organization has shared:

  • “Righteousness – Deuteronomy 16:18-20 calls for judges to be set in place that will judge in RIGHTEOUSNESS. Judges have to be trained in righteousness in order to judge effectively without political or selfish motives. Righteousness must be pursued and is the opposite of sin and corruption. Righteousness is the key to the motivation and the moral quality of how people are being judged.”
  • “Justice – When judging, Deuteronomy 25:1 explains justice in the simplest of terms: pardon the innocent and punish the wicked. Mistakes can be made by either punishing those who are innocent or by not holding accountable those who are doing evil. Justice also requires equality before the law. No favoritism is to be shown toward the rich or the poor. True justice forbids any bias based on political, racial, religious or socio-economic affiliations.”

The MAGA people claim the Department of Justice (DOJ) is weaponizing the political candidate … but what of God’s judgment based on righteousness and true God’s justice. What if the DOJ is doing the correct thing? MAGA doesn’t mean being godly—even inside of churches. So, what is the real meaning to the MAGA slogan used by the political side of reality today?

MAGA1Make Americans Grieve Again

(undercutting of the nation for personal goals and not US citizens)

MAGA2Make America Grossly Atrocious

(cut off allies and isolate the US)

MAGA3Make Autocracy Greatly Audacious

(elect a dictator)

If you say you are evangelical … you had better be going back to what Messiah tells you and not some self-centered errant politician! Click on the following images … for a DVD that is wonderful to view and relive the Gospel of John, or another DVD pack with all four Gospels with one on its own separate DVD (and by the way these can be streamed on Prime).

Apostate State of World Being

An overly simplified summary of what the WindowView web site is all about comes down to one initial concept: “Looking at multiple perspectives helps one to see the greater context to what life is.”  Within each perspective—such as those at WindowView, including Change, Science, Harmony, Timeline—one still needs to do some thinking. A keyword for all of us is “discern.” And to discern means to look at the larger field of information to assess what is true as opposed to false, misguided, bias, interpretation, assumption, or anything that is misleading. To discern in a way that is fair, this requires an open mind that is willing to be objective, but also a mind that is willing to go to multiple information sources and to look around. If you sit at your ‘window’ and really look at the lager view, then you will find opportunities to be objective and to seek what is a reliable viewpoint.

The fact that scientific and theistic information can be considered together may offer difficulty for some people. If that is you, then it’s less likely you will open your mind and explore. To look at a world of change, diametrically opposing views from science, theism, business, politics, and to include the oppositional behaviors and forces posed by various nations all over the world—this all leads to something that has been long ago projected as the eventual state of being. Yes, that is already documented in advance.  And it seems we have arrived at that state. This should be a concern to all alive today.

The title of this post starts with the word ‘apostate.’ This is being referenced in relation to one portion of Scripture that describes the status of believers at a specific point in world history—and that point in time appears to be now. Apostate is a term that can be defined as: “a person who renounces a religious or political belief or principle.” And sound principles might be objective or well founded on truth. To go one step further, apostasy is more the activity of abandoning such relevant belief or foundational principles.

Today we see persons who abandon the notion that change is occurring in the natural world—as in climate change—or that science information is helpful in addressing important issues—like taking a vaccine to prevent the further spread of a pandemic disease—or more so to contradict Scripture as religious groups decide to use Scripture in ways to their liking … and not as the biblical text intends.

This post is not going to lay down examples to say you may be involved to apostate actions or behaviors, but instead is simply pointing to this being a time when apostasy is occurring today in so many areas of the human experience—across the entire globe today—to signify something that the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures foretell as coming next. We are complex and specific human beings built on highly specified genetic information, living in a universe with highly fine-tuned conditions … so much so, as to point to our being here by design. And if that Designer is the God of the Bible, then Scripture that says apostasy will come to bring an end of an era, then you might want to see the relevance to change, science, and what the harmony of biblical texts say … and seeing how that pertains to your life right now.

In case you are wanting a reference … from the Greek [Revelation 3:14-21], you can, in part, see the reference to apostasy through people who are material and not attentive to God’s will. Reference to repenting, for example, exposes leaders who lead for their own purposes and not in the way Scripture would point to the Designer’s will.

Ears to hear, eyes to see, fully, allow a mind to truly discern. And that is why WindowView was developed. Maybe not perfect, but certainly here to get you to do some thinking!

Political Strife – Israel, Egypt, US … and You

The following headlines and news clips are part of the daily posts at Watch.org. We relay these here at WindoView to make a point concerning the problems humans have on both the political and moral fronts. Who are the righteous ones to lead Israel? The internal struggle in the biblical Land is a focal point. The events around Israel have everything to do with the time line we march along into the future.

Internal discord is not Israel’s alone … As the following headlines reveal. We just don’t get along very well as a species. And further, our judgement concerning what is normal and Godly, is subject to inspection by a comparison to God’s teaching … So often translated ‘ law,’ but then compare the teachings that make up Torah and the Law, and there is a standard to be used. A standard that even the highly regarded elected ones don’t always use.

If we learn anything from the book and the former stories of Israel, it’s this … all goes well when we abide in God’s will, all goes sour and even into bondage and exile when He is ignored.

At the end of this post is an expanded section of Scripture. A portion is quoted in the news post, but we add the full section so you can read the apostle’s complete quotation for greater context.

The real question to each one of us, all around the globe, is where do you stand with respect to entering the kingdom? What moral or political dilemma separates you from the simple truth?

HEADLINE: Peres grants Netanyahu two-week extension to form coalition;
PM says those who ‘ganged up’ on him are reason for his failure

As Lapid-Bennett union remains steadfast, PM says those who ‘ganged up’ on him are reason for his failure, claims ultra-Orthodox are ‘ready to accept’ sharing the national burden.

Having used up the allotted four-week period to form a coalition, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu turned to President Shimon Peres Saturday evening and requested an extension that could enable him to form a majority government.

Peres granted the prime minister an extra two weeks, allowing him through March 16 to assemble a coalition. No further extension is legally permitted.

“Mr. President, you tasked me with forming a coalition 28 days ago — a broad, governing coalition to address the wide issues facing Israel — the economy, our security, and also our sharing of the national burden. We need a responsible government to face these demands,” Netanayhu said.

HEADLINE: Talks between Likud and Jewish Home break down

Negotiator says Bennett’s national-religious party opposes inclusion of ultra-Orthodox in coalition; Netanyahu now has 15 days to muster a majority

Talks between Likud-Beytenu and the Jewish Home party ended abruptly on Friday, with a top negotiator declaring that Naftali Bennett’s national-religious faction opposed the inclusion of the ultra-Orthodox parties in the next government.

“The Jewish Home party wants Haredim excluded from the next coalition exactly like Yesh Atid wants them excluded,” Likud’s chief negotiator, attorney David Shimron said after the meeting at the Kfar Maccabiah Hotel in Ramat Gan.

HEADLINE: US carrier in front line of Obama’s battle with Congress over $85 billion ‘sequester’ cuts, with more to follow

Docked in its home port in Virginia rather than patrolling the waters of the Persian Gulf, the aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman and its 3,360 officers and crew are this weekend on the front line of the latest conflict to embroil America.

The battleground is not military but budgetary, however, as the Truman’s nuclear-powered might is shackled by a rancorous new fight between President Barack Obama and his Republican foes.

The two sides are locked into an apparently endless fiscal confrontation over radically different political and fiscal philosophies on the role of government. The resulting conflict over spending cuts and tax rises seems certain to dominate Mr Obama’s second term in the White House.

HEADLINE: Kerry arrives in Egypt seeking crucial reform

Opposition leaders reject meeting with US secretary of state, who’s called on them to cancel boycott of parliamentary elections

US Secretary of State John Kerry is calling on bickering Egyptian leaders and opposition politicians to forge a political consensus that will allow the country to emerge from economic crisis.

Kerry, on his first overseas trip as a member of President Barack Obama’s Cabinet, was scheduled to meet Saturday with a number of opposition figures along with Egypt’s foreign minister. He will see President Mohammed Morsi on Sunday.

US officials said Kerry was particularly concerned that Egypt takes the reforms necessary to qualify for a $4.8 billion International Monetary Fund loan package.

HEADLINE: The unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God – 1 Corinthians 6:9-11:
Obama on Gay Marriage: America’s Gone Through ‘Same Evolution I’ve Gone Through’ –

President Barack Obama said Friday that the country as a whole has gone through the same “evolution” he has in now supporting same-sex marriage. During a press conference Friday, Obama was asked about his Justice Department’s brief in the California voter-approved Proposition 8 case before the Supreme Court that will decide whether the state – and possibly other states – can ban gay marriage.

“As everybody here knows, last year upon a long period of reflection, I concluded that we cannot discriminate against same-sex couples when it comes to marriage, that the basic principle that America is founded on, the idea that we’re all created equal, applies to everybody regardless of sexual orientation, as well as race or gender or religion or ethnicity,” Obama said. “I think that the same evolution that I’ve gone through is an evolution that the country as a whole has gone through, and I think it is a profoundly positive thing.”

—————
Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unrighteous, and not before the saints? Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life? If then you have judgments concerning things pertaining to this life, do you appoint those who are least esteemed by the church to judge? I say this to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you, not even one, who will be able to judge between his brethren? But brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers! Now therefore, it is already an utter failure for you that you go to law against one another. Why do you not rather accept wrong? Why do you not rather let yourselves be cheated? No, you yourselves do wrong and cheat, and you do these things to your brethren! Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. (I Corinthians 6:1-11 NKJV)
