October 17 – End Time Signs – Mounting Evidence the World is Turning a Corner

Take a sobering look at the news feed from the Middle East. For those in the West, take note that the network news is typically sanitized and there is never a mention of how we are headed right into biblical end time factors … which include religious  friction around the temple mount in Jerusalem and the nations continually circling in war patterns in the region. The following is from watch.org:

  • OCTOBER 17, 2015
  •  Israel will never agree to the stationing of international forces on Temple Mount, Jerusalem’s new envoy to the United Nations, Danny Danon, said on Friday.

“If you are serious about promoting peace, if you are really committed to advancing co-existence in our region, make a clear statement against the incitement that fuels terror, support direct negotiations,” Danon said on Friday, addressing the international community and the UN Security Council.

Danon held a press conference just before the council’s emergency meeting on the situation in the Middle East, which has seen an escalation in violence.

“When a Palestinian child opens the television he doesn’t see Barney or Donald Duck, he sees murderers portrayed as heroes,” he said. “When he opens a textbook to do his homework, he doesn’t learn about math and science, he is being taught to hate.”

  •  France is drafting a ‘presidential statement’ in order to advance a plan to station international observers at Jerusalem’s Temple Mount to ensure that the status quo at the site is preserved, French daily Le Figaro reported on Saturday, quoting French diplomatic sources.

French Ambassador to the UN Francois Delattre said, at an emergency meeting on Friday of the UN Security Council on the ongoing violence between Israel and the Palestinians, that he would circulate a draft statement to the council that would appeal for calm and restraint and for a revival of the stalled Israeli-Palestinian peace process, and for maintaining the status quo at the Temple Mount.

Statements by the 15-member council must be agreed unanimously.

  • Iran said on Saturday that its recent test launch of a long-range missile does not violate UN Security Council resolutions as claimed by the United States and France.

“Our missile tests have nothing to do with Resolution 2231, which only mentions missiles designed to carry nuclear warheads,” Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif told a news conference.

Speaking in Tehran alongside his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier, he added: “None of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s missiles have been designed for nuclear capabilities.”

  •  The United States has confirmed that Iran tested a medium-range missile capable of delivering a nuclear weapon, in “clear violation” of a United Nations Security Council ban on ballistic missile tests, a senior US official said on Friday.

“The United States is deeply concerned about Iran’s recent ballistic missile launch,” US Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power said in a statement.

“After reviewing the available information, we can confirm that Iran launched on Oct. 10 a medium-range ballistic missile inherently capable of delivering a nuclear weapon,” she said. “This was a clear violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1929.”

  •  At Security Council meeting, UN chief’s representative says both sides to blame for violence, criticizes Israel’s ‘heavy-handed’ actions.

Israel on Friday rejected Palestinian calls for an international force to be deployed in East Jerusalem to promote calm around the Temple Mount and the flashpoint Al-Aqsa Mosque.

“Let me be crystal clear — Israel will not agree to any international presence on the Temple Mount. Such a presence would be a change in the status quo,” Israeli Deputy Ambassador David Roet told the UN Security Council.

The 15-member council met in an emergency session to discuss weeks of escalating violence between Israel and the Palestinians in Jerusalem and the territories.

  •  Abbas orders inquiry after rioters set compound on fire; Palestinian security forces extinguish blaze; Israel preparing for clashes in West Bank, Gaza after Friday prayers.

Palestinians set alight parts of Joseph’s Tomb in Nablus overnight Thursday as they rioted and threw Molotov cocktails, while security forces have prepared for confrontations on Friday.

Palestinian security forces chased the arsonists away and put out the fire.

The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, Maj. Gen. Yoav Mordechai and the head of the Civil Administration Brig. Gen. David Menachem spoke with Palestinian officials regarding the incident, who condemned it.

Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas ordered the formation of an inquiry commission on the incident, which was described in the official Palestinian news agency as an irresponsible act. Abbas also instructed immediate repairs to the site.

    END TIMES EXPECTATION:

We understand, anyone reading to this point in the post may be saying noting is new in Israel or the Middle East. But that glosses over the point that in the final stages of the end times, there will be a peace pact, a covenant of seven years, set aside for the sake of the temple and peace in Jerusalem … tensions today are taking us in that very direction. The Bible be true, the rest of what will happen has already been laid out in detail … if, in fact you care to read ahead.

Hide God’s Law and He Hides Himself From Us

THOU SHALL NOT

The photo below appeared in an October 7 throw away daily paper given out at subways stops in the metropolitan area of our nation’s capital. The caption below the picture includes: “THOU SHALL NOT: Workers remove a Ten Commandments monument from its base on the grounds of the state Capitol in Oklahoma City Monday night.  Oklahoma’s Supreme Court ruled in June the display violates a state constitutional prohibition on the use of public property. … ”  The monument was removed to a storage facility.

What are the implications?

Oklahoma City judge directs removal of God’s Law

Removal of the Bible’s Ten Commandments may seem to be part of the changes going on in our nation and around  the world today. “So what?” you may ask. The real response to this is: “Is the new normal really normal or an abstraction of what is the ultimate reality to our life?”

Here we approach the divide between blessing from the Devine and the pit of despair that so often beset Israel as her kings would turn their backs on the God of Israel.  And for the nations today, the rest of us, we were the intended audience to watch what Israel did or does when blessed to see how the rest of us may inherit what Israel was always intended for … God’s will and THE blessing.

Across the US and across the global landscape of this planet, humans are turning a blind eye to the God over all, Jew and Gentile, and the consequences will come. They did before. They will come yet again. But you are being lulled into a false sense of it won’t happen because “see nothing happened today,” so why worry?

Maybe Oklahoma City will grow a wee bit darker and as we see more lawless behaviors, shootings, sodomy, abuse, immorality, expanding of drug use and other permissive alterations to the otherwise order we call peace … the fabric of our societies frays.

It did before and even as you think “not now” it’s happening slowly … we are all on an ever slippery slope.

Strange as it is, the world is not improving and changes are more degradation than constructive … more conflicts, more tension … you have to wonder why humanity ust never seems to learn!

And that is why the Bible speaks to an end of this era.  Read the text, study what is projected and note the uncanny similarity to the fraying of our time and what the biblical text states for tomorrow. As Yogi Berra said: “the future ain’t what is use to be.”

But God knows what the future brings and you can read it today.

Take down His law and you end up in an age of the lawless … in Oklahoma City and around the globe … you can bet on it! Ask the ancient kings who did the same … read about their fate and demise … look around you now.

War Machines and the Middle East – April 20, 2015

From Watch.org

  • To wage war in Yemen, Saudi Arabia is using F-15 fighter jets bought from Boeing. Pilots from the United Arab Emirates are flying Lockheed Martin’s F-16 to bomb both Yemen and Syria. Soon, the Emirates are expected to complete a deal with General Atomics for a fleet of Predator drones to run spying missions in their neighborhood.

As the Middle East descends into proxy wars, sectarian conflicts and battles against terrorist networks, countries in the region that have stockpiled American military hardware are now actually using it and wanting more.

  •  AFTER THE Soviet Union collapsed, Richard Nixon observed that the United States had won the Cold War, but had not yet won the peace. Since then, three American presidents—representing both political parties—have not yet accomplished that task. On the contrary, peace seems increasingly out of reach as threats to U.S. security and prosperity multiply both at the systemic level, where dissatisfied major powers are increasingly challenging the international order, and at the state and substate level, where dissatisfied ethnic, tribal, religious and other groups are destabilizing key countries and even entire regions.
  • Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: Israel views with utmost gravity the supply of S-300 missiles from Russia to Iran • Russian President Vladimir Putin warns Israel not to sell weapons to Ukraine, saying this would increase strife in eastern Ukraine.

“Israel views with utmost gravity the supply of S-300 missiles from Russia to Iran, especially at a time when Iran is stepping up its aggression in the region and around the borders of the State of Israel,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at the start of Sunday’s cabinet meeting.

“Israel also views with utmost gravity the fact that there is no reference to this aggression in the agreement being made between the major powers and Iran. There is no stipulation that this aggression be halted, whether at the start of the agreement or as a condition for the lifting of sanctions.

January News: PEACE TREATY BY APRIL?

from David Dolan’s monthly newsletter:

“America’s senior diplomat, John Kerry, returned to the Middle East during January to prod along faltering peace talks that he fathered between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. As usual, he met with senior Israeli leaders in Jerusalem, including PM Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, followed by meetings with Mahmoud Abbas and other senior PA leaders in Ramallah, due north of Jerusalem. While in the Israeli capital city, Kerry confirmed media reports that the Obama administration wants a final peace accord to be ironed out by April, when Jews in Israel and all around the world will celebrate Passover with the first of four full lunar “Tetrad” eclipses that will darken the moon on successive Passovers and Feast of Tabernacles over the next two years.”

December News: PEACE DEAL BY MAY?

from David Dolan’s Montly Newsletter

“The United States chief diplomat, former Senator John Kerry, returned to the Middle East in December to promote his nearly yearlong effort to shepherd a final peace accord between the Palestinian Authority and Israel. While in Jerusalem, he revealed that the Obama administration is hoping to broker a final agreement by next April or May at the latest. However both Israeli and Palestinian leaders said the goal was unachievable. Saeb Erekat, the chief PA negotiator, said the two sides might reach an initial framework agreement by then, but not a final accord. “Once you reach the framework agreement, you need six to twelve months to reach a comprehensive treaty on all core issues,” he told reporters in Ramallah. Israeli politicians who back the peace process saw some sign of hope in the statement since the PA had earlier vowed to walk away from the talks if they lasted more than nine months, which would be the case if they continue until next April.”

Dolan Update: ISRAEL OPPOSES US-LED DEAL WITH IRAN

This month’s Israel News review focuses almost exclusively on the deal struck between Iran and six world powers to curb the Shiite regime’s nuclear program.  However Israeli officials fear Iran’s radical leaders may see the accord as an international endorsement of their “right” to enrich uranium since it allows such production to continue, even if at a lower level.  That is certainly how Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other Iranian leaders view it, since they have said so.   Details of the accord and the Israeli government reaction to it lie below.  A happy Thanksgiving to all Americans who just celebrated that annual holiday.

Many parts of the Middle East continued to experience warfare and upheaval during November, especially in Syria, Lebanon and Egypt. This came as diplomats from six world powers attempted to forge an agreement with the nefarious Iranian regime to curb its threatening nuclear development program.  A preliminary accord that Israeli leaders strongly denounced as totally inadequate was thwarted at the last minute in early November by French intervention.  Many political analysts saw this as another sign that Israel’s main international ally, the United States, is slowly abandoning that role under President Barrack Obama’s increasingly unpopular rule.

The steadily growing breach between Washington and Jerusalem was significantly deepened when a second round of negotiations later in November produced a six month interim deal hailed by Obama as “an important first step” in halting Iran’s nuclear development program.  American government officials then revealed that the Obama administration had been conducting secret back channel talks with the Shiite Iranian regime in the Arab country of Oman for nearly a year before this month’s formal negotiations began in Geneva Switzerland. August Israel News Summary

From David Dolan’s latest post:

The Middle East appears to be on the brink of possible all-out war as the United States prepares to respond militarily to the apparent Syrian regime use of chemical weapons on a major scale last week. Israeli officials are warning that embattled Syrian dictator Bashar Assad may order his Hizbullah ally to launch a major rocket assault upon the small Jewish State in response to any significant US action. How Iran and other enemy countries might respond to such action is anybody’s guess, but the chances the situation could spiral totally out of control are being seriously asked at present in Israel. Naturally this month’s Israel news report of looks at the situation in Syria, although it begins with the crisis rocking Egypt.

Despite the growing prospects of wider military action in the region, I wish all of my Jewish friends in Israel and around the world a shana tova, or a good new year ahead as we begin the calendar year 5774 next week.
