Week of May 6 – continued Stress and Fractures in Middle East

If the battles and struggles over establishing a new national identity called Palestine was not also rooted in an ideology that originated in the seventh and eighth centuries … then the peace effort would merely be one of logistics and getting about the business of running civil governments. But it’s not merely civil, pun intended, because even the one liner below about naming of a capitol tells us nothing here is ever going to be simple … because of ideological presumptions.

Those who have studied the Bible have already “read ahead” and sort of know what’s coming. A chronology of events described long before any writings of other religious writings now seems to be in effect. We don’t say every news event is a specific element of that chronology, but many help support and buttress the chronological sequence. The main plot we see is a struggle that entails sustaining Israel now and forever. So the take over plot of Jerusalem is a lost cause that evidently must be played out first. If you read ahead, a New Jerusalem lives on, there is no mention of Palestine in the eternal chronology.

BTW, the words of Isaiah about the demise of Damascus just seem to come to mind as the physical state ot Syria and Damascus itself continue to crumble.

HEADLINE: Iran says will turn Golan into ‘Fatahland’

After alleged Israel attack on Syria, Iran issues war-like declarations, orders Assad army to protect homeland, according to Hezbollah-affiliated newspaper. ‘Front open to Syrians, Palestinians, to all who wish to fight Israel’
The report also said that Nasrallah recently participated in more than one session of the Hezbollah’s “Jihad Council.” The newspaper claimed that during these meetings, the secretary-general stated, “Israel believes that if it attacks facilities and strategic stockpiles, it changes the resistance capabilities. This is an erroneous assessment.” He said,”The reason being that the stocks of the resistance have been filled with all that it needs.”

Nasrallah also warned, “If Israel attacks any (arms) cache of Hezbollah in Lebanon, the response will be immediate and total war.”

HEADLINE: Keeping up marathon meetings, Livni and Kerry to parley

Justice Minister Tzipi Livni will meet with US Secretary of State John Kerry in Rome this week as efforts intensify to bring Israelis and Palestinians to the negotiating table for peace talks.

Kerry will meet with Livni, who is managing Israel’s diplomatic efforts vis-avis the Palestinians, on Wednesday, the State Department said early Tuesday.

Livni, who met with Kerry last week, called the renewed effort “good news.” Kerry “is completely involved, determined” to restart negotiations, which have largely been frozen since 2008, she said.

HEADLINE: Lapid nixes Netanyahu-backed referendum on peace;
Livni applauds decision

Livni applauds Yesh Atid for putting ‘good of the people before politics’ in pursuing an agreement with the Palestinians.

The centrist Yesh Atid party on Monday came out against the idea of legislating a national referendum on any future peace agreement with the Palestinian Authority, effectively stymieing the initiative, which was being championed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The party, headed by Finance Minister Yair Lapid, reached the decision after a lengthy discussion at a faction meeting, Yesh Atid said in a statement. The decision established a majority against the initiative in the Cabinet, and pits Lapid against Netanyahu and his close coalition partner Economics and Trade Minister Naftali Bennett, aligning him with Justice Minister Tzipi Livni (Hatnua) and Avigdor Liberman’s Yisrael Beytenu party.

HEADLINE: Billions of locust eggs hatch in the Negev

The locust swarms that entered Israel in March and April, although prevented from causing major crop damage by an intensive spraying campaign, still left behind billions of eggs that are now hatching.

The newly hatched locusts could be a real disaster for crops, especially when they gain the ability to fly, Negev Regional Council head Shmuel Rifman warned.

“The Agriculture Ministry has lost control and doesn’t have the appropriate tools to destroy billions of locusts,” he said in a Channel 10 TV interview Monday night, appealing to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to declare a state of emergency in the Negev.

Man of Peace In the Window

It just doesn’t stop. We long for peace and quiet … holiday events to celebrate … without bombs, please … chemicals in letters and earthquakes … ALL of these pieces of news just slip behind us as noise … Unless you are paying attention … read the clips here and our summary below … take care …

HEADLINE: Kerry says ‘window’ for Mideast peace only 2 years

Secretary of state promises House Foreign Affairs Committee to ‘honor that urgency’ but won’t lay out a schedule for talks

Secretary of State John Kerry on Wednesday underlined the difficulty he will face in trying to chart a path toward Mideast peace, urging patience on the details of any two-state plan while stressing that Israel and the Palestinians might only have two years left for a deal.

He told the House Foreign Affairs Committee that he was committed to breaking a logjam that includes nearly no Israeli-Palestinian talks in the past 4½ years and no solution in sight after more than six decades of conflict.

HEADLINE: Two rockets fired on Eilat

Two rockets were fired on the southern city of Eilat Wednesday morning. Initial reports said one landed in a residential neighborhood and the other in an open area in the outskirts of the city. No injuries were reported.

HEADLINE: Al Qaeda Link Probed: Investigated in Boston blasts

However, initial reports indicate the bombs were fashioned from pressure cookers and designed to avoid detection by bomb-sniffing dogs. Investigators believe the devices were delivered in duffle bags and are now searching surveillance video of Boston for clues. An al Qaeda magazine in 2010 directed terrorists to use kitchen materials to make bombs, including pressure cooking bombs, for killing “tens” of people.

The bombs contained metal pieces designed to increase their lethality. The official said the use of a pressure cooker bomb device also is an indication that more than one person was involved in the attacks.

The details on the apparently crude but deadly explosives emerged as investigators appealed to the public for amateur video and photos that might yield clues. The chief FBI agent in Boston vowed “we will go to the ends of the Earth” to find those responsible.

A person who spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation was still going on said the explosives were put in 6-liter kitchen pressure cookers, hidden in black duffel bags and left on the ground. They were packed with shrapnel, the person said.

HEADLINE: Envelope tests positive for ricin at Washington mail facility

An envelope that tested positive for the deadly poison ricin was intercepted Tuesday afternoon at the U.S. Capitol’s off-site mail facility in Washington, congressional and law enforcement sources told CNN.

The letter was addressed to the office of Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Mississippi. A laboratory in Maryland confirmed the presence of ricin after initial field tests indicated the poison was present, Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Terrance Gainer said. The letter had a Memphis, Tennessee, postmark and no return address.

HEADLINE: Letter sent to Obama tests positive for ricin, FBI says

The FBI has confirmed that a letter addressed to President Obama has “preliminarily tested positive” for ricin, a day after lawmakers said another letter sent to the Capitol Hill office of Sen. Roger Wicker tested positive for the same substance.

The warnings come amid a flurry of reports on suspicious packages. Fox News has learned of several suspicious packages or envelopes in various Capitol Hill office buildings. Capitol Police say three packages that were flagged have been removed and the areas have been cleared. Separately, the office of Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., reported a “suspicious-looking letter” at one of the senator’s Michigan offices; and a spokesman for Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., reported a “suspicious letter” was intercepted at Flake’s Phoenix office.

HEADLINE: 7.8 Quake kills at least 46 along Iran-Pakistan border; strongest quake to hit Iran in 50 years

A major earthquake described as the strongest to hit Iran in more than half a century flattened homes and offices Tuesday on both sides of the Iran-Pakistan border, killing at least 46 people in the sparsely populated region and swaying skyscrapers and buildings as far away as New Delhi.

Iran’s Red Crescent said it was facing a “complicated emergency situation” in the area with villages scattered over desolate hills and valleys.

Iran’s semiofficial ISNA news agency and others described the quake, measured at magnitude 7.8, as the strongest quake in more than 50 years. State-run Press TV called it a “massive quake.

What you make of the news depends on what you see through your window. For us, we look at science, change, and scripture data to see there is one path forward. Driving forces move humanity along time. And some of those forces are made evident in the daily news as we approach the end of the current era.

Materially, scientifically, we can say the solutions to human dilemmas are out there before us. But turmoil within the human community make prospects for real progress less likely. In the Middle East … a man of peace will step forward … Scripture says ‘he’ will, but watch out … for as the last story above tells us; there are birth pangs evident … along with wars and rumors of wars … and then … Well, it’s that ‘driving forces thing’ that pays attention to no one man.

All you need do is take a look at the information streaming through the window … and you’ll see it!

WAR AND PEACE (Prospects Perhaps)

The headlines below still tell a story fraught with turmoil without resolution. As noted here before, as soon as you see resolution, keep your eyes open for an undoing of major proportions …

HEADLINE: Source: Israel will freeze settlement construction

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry’s visit to the Mid-East may have ended without any obvious results, but official sources involved in the preliminary talks said Thursday night that “eventually the negotiations will resume. Israel is expected to quietly freeze construction outside of the major settlement blocs in order to resume bilateral talks.”

A few days ago Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas demanded that Prime Minister Netanyahu present a permanent agreement border outline. Netanyahu, supported by his senior ministers refused the demand as well as any other demands for Israeli gestures.

Yet a senior official told Ynet that “while there won’t be a de jure freeze, but quietly, quietly – construction outside the major blocs will be halted in order to resume negotiations. Israel will not make an official declaration but the move will be carried out on the sly as part of understandings between Israel and the US.”

HEADLINE: Pat Robertson Warns of ‘Terrible Suffering for U.S.’ if Israel Loses Jerusalem

CBN 700 Club host Pat Robertson is warning that any peace agreement in the Middle East that results in Israel losing parts of Jerusalem will be calling on “God’s wrath,” saying that any peace talks that pull Jerusalem away from Israel will be going directly against God’s commandments.

“I think this is headed for disaster for the United States,” Robertson said on a video posted on April 9. The televangelist was responding to the latest news story concerning peace developments between Israel and the Palestinians, being moderated by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.

“God says, they divided My land; there is something about dividing God’s land; He said this is my land, I gave it to Abraham and his descendants and I don’t want it taken away from them and Jerusalem is the eternal capital of Israel,” Robertson said.

HEADLINE: From Jerusalem to Seoul: Kerry lands amid Korean crisis

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said Friday that the United States is prepared to enter into talks with North Korea, but only if it is serious about negotiating the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

Kerry is in Seoul meeting with South Korean Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se amid heightened tensions spurred by North Korea’s recent nuclear threats and provocations.

He landed in Seoul, about 30 miles from the demilitarized zone separating the two countries. The Korean peninsula is rife with tensions over the belligerent threats issued by Pyongyang.

HEADLINE: U.S. Spy Agency: North Korea Can Likely Launch Nuclear Missiles

A Pentagon spy agency has concluded with “moderate confidence” that North Korea has the ability to launch nuclear-armed ballistic missiles but the weapons would probably be unreliable, a U.S. lawmaker said on Thursday.

A Pentagon spokesman later said it was “inaccurate” to suggest North Korea had a demonstrated ability to launch a nuclear missile. That view is supported by civilian experts.

What do we make of all this?

Time sitting at the window reveals a timeline with an expected chronology of events ahead. It was recorded long ago, the data stand on their own merits, only time validates each chronological step forward. Each step validates scripture and the material world is being moved toward spiritual dimensions. After all, if life is special, why all the crazy headlines? Who isn’t looking and who is? Are you?

Events Deliver a Crossroads with Prophetic Implications

As before we are highlighting today’s headlines from Watch.org. This is almost TOO MUCH to believe … a president who will push for a peace in the Middle East by leveraging all he can do and a Pope who brings to the surface a prophecy that speaks to “The End.” And you are ALIVE to see this today!

Consider the following headlines!

HEADLINE: US may increase pressure on Iran in exchange for progress with Palestinians

US President Barack Obama will reportedly offer to up pressure on Iran in exchange for Israeli concessions toward the Palestinians when he visits Israel next month.

According to a British paper, two top Netanyahu aides dispatched to Washington, Yaakov Amidror and Yitzhak Molcho, are laying the groundwork for a Tehran-for-Ramallah deal, which the White House is open to.

As part of the deal, Obama would be asked to ramp up pressure on Iran to pull back from its nuclear program, and in exchange Israel would hold talks with the PA on borders, security and even final status issues such as Jerusalem and settlements.

HEADLINE: Netanyahu names main topics for Obama visit

Netanyahu said that he and Obama have agreed on three main topics to be discussed during the visit: Iran’s nuclear program, the volatile situation in Syria and its effects on regional security and attempts to further the peace process with the Palestinians.

Meanwhile, the New York Times reported Sunday that Israel is considering giving the Palestinians partial control over some areas of the West Bank, as well as releasing prisoners and freezing settlement construction ahead of Obama’s visit.

The paper further reported that the United States is expected to release $200 million in aid to the Palestinian Authority that it has withheld for months.

HEADLINE: Pope Benedict XVI to resign citing poor health

Pope Benedict XVI is to resign at the end of this month after nearly eight years as the head of the Catholic Church, saying he is too old to continue at the age of 85.

The unexpected development – the first papal resignation in nearly 600 years – surprised governments, Vatican-watchers and even his closest aides.

The Vatican says it expects a new Pope to be elected before Easter.

HEADLINE: Lightning hits St Peter’s hours after Pope Benedict stuns cardinals with first resignation in 600 years

Lightning strikes the basilica of St.Peter’s dome earlier this evening during a storm that struck Rome on the same day Pope Benedict XVI announced his resignation

HEADLINE: St. Malachy predicted Pope Benedict’s successor will be last pope

The Irish prophet Saint Malachy has predicted that the next Pope after Benedict will be the last and he will be “Peter the Roman, who will nourish the sheep in many tribulations; when they are finished, the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the dreadful judge will judge his people. The end.”

The prophecies of the Irish saint Malachy, the 12th century bishop of Armagh have thrilled and dismayed readers for centuries. He has stated there will be only one more pope after Benedict, and during his reign comes the end of the world.

The prediction in full is “In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will reign Peter the Roman, who will feed his flock amid many tribulations, after which the seven-hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people. The End.”

Experts say it could refer to an Italian pope who would take Peter’s name.

The Window View

A closing thought … Scroll down and consider the concept we present in our brief video on the days of Noah. All of this really goes together quite nicely … and tell a friend … the plot thickens and you just have to keep your eyes open … and remember, it was written ahead of time a long time ago … so to speak none of this is really a surprise …
