October 17 – End Time Signs – Mounting Evidence the World is Turning a Corner

Take a sobering look at the news feed from the Middle East. For those in the West, take note that the network news is typically sanitized and there is never a mention of how we are headed right into biblical end time factors … which include religious  friction around the temple mount in Jerusalem and the nations continually circling in war patterns in the region. The following is from watch.org:

  • OCTOBER 17, 2015
  •  Israel will never agree to the stationing of international forces on Temple Mount, Jerusalem’s new envoy to the United Nations, Danny Danon, said on Friday.

“If you are serious about promoting peace, if you are really committed to advancing co-existence in our region, make a clear statement against the incitement that fuels terror, support direct negotiations,” Danon said on Friday, addressing the international community and the UN Security Council.

Danon held a press conference just before the council’s emergency meeting on the situation in the Middle East, which has seen an escalation in violence.

“When a Palestinian child opens the television he doesn’t see Barney or Donald Duck, he sees murderers portrayed as heroes,” he said. “When he opens a textbook to do his homework, he doesn’t learn about math and science, he is being taught to hate.”

  •  France is drafting a ‘presidential statement’ in order to advance a plan to station international observers at Jerusalem’s Temple Mount to ensure that the status quo at the site is preserved, French daily Le Figaro reported on Saturday, quoting French diplomatic sources.

French Ambassador to the UN Francois Delattre said, at an emergency meeting on Friday of the UN Security Council on the ongoing violence between Israel and the Palestinians, that he would circulate a draft statement to the council that would appeal for calm and restraint and for a revival of the stalled Israeli-Palestinian peace process, and for maintaining the status quo at the Temple Mount.

Statements by the 15-member council must be agreed unanimously.

  • Iran said on Saturday that its recent test launch of a long-range missile does not violate UN Security Council resolutions as claimed by the United States and France.

“Our missile tests have nothing to do with Resolution 2231, which only mentions missiles designed to carry nuclear warheads,” Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif told a news conference.

Speaking in Tehran alongside his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier, he added: “None of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s missiles have been designed for nuclear capabilities.”

  •  The United States has confirmed that Iran tested a medium-range missile capable of delivering a nuclear weapon, in “clear violation” of a United Nations Security Council ban on ballistic missile tests, a senior US official said on Friday.

“The United States is deeply concerned about Iran’s recent ballistic missile launch,” US Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power said in a statement.

“After reviewing the available information, we can confirm that Iran launched on Oct. 10 a medium-range ballistic missile inherently capable of delivering a nuclear weapon,” she said. “This was a clear violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1929.”

  •  At Security Council meeting, UN chief’s representative says both sides to blame for violence, criticizes Israel’s ‘heavy-handed’ actions.

Israel on Friday rejected Palestinian calls for an international force to be deployed in East Jerusalem to promote calm around the Temple Mount and the flashpoint Al-Aqsa Mosque.

“Let me be crystal clear — Israel will not agree to any international presence on the Temple Mount. Such a presence would be a change in the status quo,” Israeli Deputy Ambassador David Roet told the UN Security Council.

The 15-member council met in an emergency session to discuss weeks of escalating violence between Israel and the Palestinians in Jerusalem and the territories.

  •  Abbas orders inquiry after rioters set compound on fire; Palestinian security forces extinguish blaze; Israel preparing for clashes in West Bank, Gaza after Friday prayers.

Palestinians set alight parts of Joseph’s Tomb in Nablus overnight Thursday as they rioted and threw Molotov cocktails, while security forces have prepared for confrontations on Friday.

Palestinian security forces chased the arsonists away and put out the fire.

The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, Maj. Gen. Yoav Mordechai and the head of the Civil Administration Brig. Gen. David Menachem spoke with Palestinian officials regarding the incident, who condemned it.

Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas ordered the formation of an inquiry commission on the incident, which was described in the official Palestinian news agency as an irresponsible act. Abbas also instructed immediate repairs to the site.

    END TIMES EXPECTATION:

We understand, anyone reading to this point in the post may be saying noting is new in Israel or the Middle East. But that glosses over the point that in the final stages of the end times, there will be a peace pact, a covenant of seven years, set aside for the sake of the temple and peace in Jerusalem … tensions today are taking us in that very direction. The Bible be true, the rest of what will happen has already been laid out in detail … if, in fact you care to read ahead.
