To start, we encourage
you to:
- Remember
to BOOKMARK this web page for future reference.
- Start with Table 1 for an Eternity Past to Eternity
Future overview of Time based on Science and Scripture related events
- Take note ... The
WindowView timeline is a living document and updates occur from time to time.
(NOTE: if you are thinking of printing the time lines... set the browser text view size to small... an entire time line (i.e. one of the subsections listed above; A, B, C, etc.) may span as many as 20 to 30 pages when printed !!!)
The time line is an important tool to working within WindowView.
Our goal is to build a time line that weaves together a holistic picture based on historical events, the Scriptures, and scientific advancements. The interplay between all elements is critical to opening a broader view on the human experience... even to understanding a purpose to our life experience today. The structure (see contents above ) of this time line:
The main time line is presented in five parts (Table 1 Parts I and II is subdivided into sections A to E) spanning eternity past to eternity future. A biblical statement about a beginning sets the time line in motion. Essentially, modern science now brings its own revelation of data, fact, and theory to support the notion of a beginning. This speaks of an origin, to matter, space, life, the human experience. All this helps to sketch and illustrate biblical and scientific perspectives that merge within the WindowView.
To really use the time lines to their fullest may take a bit of exploration on two levels of thought.
First, there are separate columns for distinct content, with secular events on the left and the scriptural-related or religious events on the right.
Second, hyperlinks are presented to specific content elsewhere within WindowView. This offers a backbone of supporting information that is part of our mission to develop a holistic view.
Finally, the main time line pages are supported by several other time-related tables as described above (Tables 2 to 4). These are readily accessed above or by the navigation buttons on the left.
