Change
Climate Change, Global Change ... the topic brings debate. The argument keeps going on while everyone misses the real issue.
Change serves ONE purpose that no one wants to talk about. Change is a mirror reflecting back the 'material us.' We are being forced to look at ourselves! What do we see? What are we doing?!
Change ... the data are in ... incontrovertible ... our population has grown, we've over-fished the oceans, people migrate from country to megacities, fresh water is in short supply, glaciers melt, ocean water is warming and growing acidic, we consume more and more, etc.
You have heard the numbers, it's all getting to be too much information ... the populous expresses this in crisis tone:
WE need to SAVE OURSELVES!
SAVE the PLANET!
Humanity has reached materialism's crossroads. Change reveals the planet is finite, there is only so much land, water, oil, air, plant and animal life ... the planet grows smaller as we use more and more.
Is change a motivator to live differently?
Is that the point?
Can we SAVE ourselves?
If not us, then who?

The scientific findings about climate change get us thinking about material responses to a material dilemma. What is changing appears to impinge on prospects for our survival. But more than that ... there is a spiritual dilemma no one wants to talk about. Are you willing to look at another side to the issues on change?
What we forget to consider is the entire universe—by physics and design—is set to burn out and grow cold ... so, either life is a mere material experience OR there is something more. What if ... God is sitting patiently tapping his fingers on the desktop ... waiting for us to get it!
Change is a messenger.
CHANGE is a wake up call to seeing life's purpose beyond being material and simply being human.
The real issue is, we must see past the material state of our being to discover life is more than the here and now ... more than survival now ... and then understand the purpose for why we are here in this life experience!
YOU can't escape this reality ... you ARE in it! So look! What lies beyond changes in the earth, water, and sky? Think about it!
This window is a way station on a larger journey ... for we are told, we are but "strangers and sojourners" in this place! This life is not all there is! Science and Scripture reveal approaches to seeing the reality behind all we see in the window.
